The Devil Wears Prada 2: When Power Gets a Makeover

The red-heels are back. The fashion kingdom may have shifted—but one queen still rules it. In the highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, the empire of style, media and power faces its biggest transformation yet.

Almost two decades after Miranda Priestly made “That’s all” the deadliest line in fashion, she’s back! fiercer, colder, and ready to prove she still runs the world.

The official trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 just dropped, and the fans are losing it. The first frame alone is a love letter to chaos: the sound of heels clicking through marble, camera flashes firing, and then… that voice. Calm. Commanding. Merciless. “Took you long enough,” she says. It’s Miranda. It’s Meryl. It’s war.

The Queen Returns to Her Throne

This time, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) isn’t just running Runway. She’s fighting to keep it alive. Print is dying, influencers are ruling the digital catwalk, and her power, once absolute is slipping.

Enter Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former assistant turned luxury brand executive. She’s now the one holding the ad budgets that Runway desperately needs. Imagine the tension when old hierarchy meets new authority and both women refuse to bow.

Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is back too, no longer the naïve girl clutching lattes. The trailer teases glimpses of her as a confident, self-assured woman who’s learned to play the game and maybe, this time, to win it on her own terms.

It’s clear: this isn’t just a sequel. It’s a generational power shift wrapped in Prada.

New faces like Lucy Liu, Kenneth Branagh, and Simone Ashley add fresh flair, while fan favorites like Stanley Tucci’s Nigel bring back that iconic dry wit.
